This map shows several major projects located in the County but planned by other agencies. For example, TxDOT is planning several state road projects, Capital Metro’s Project Connect includes a rail project, and CTRMA and Capital Metro are jointly planning several park and ride projects. 

The County is not required to provide funding for these projects, save for a portion of some right-of-way costs. 

If the County participated financially in one or more of these projects it may speed up project delivery and benefits to County residents. However, under the current funding forecast, this participation would reduce the funding available for County road projects in the unincorporated areas, the County’s primary transportation responsibility.
